The aim of the thematic workpackage SWEX Polesie&Podlasie realized in IAPAS is collection and supply of on-ground monitoring soil physical data from a defined area for calibration of a satellite radiometer, searching for significant correlation between both on-ground and satellite records, and studies of spatial variability of heat and moisture streams in soil surface layer on wet and dry areas. The participants apply individually for financial support.
