• Traditional Optical Microscopy.

Sample preparation:

• Sample fixation in resin or paraffin.
• Cutting with microtome.
• Cutting of soft samples with vibratome.
• Staining for fluorescence microscopy.
• Sample liofilization.
• Critical point drying.

Image analysis:

• Image enhancement.
• Morphological analyses.
• Image parameterization.
